Website Business Objectives

The website offering the formation and maintenance of Corporations in Nevada was getting enough traffic to their site, but was converting very little of it. Most orders from the website were taken over the phone and consumed a lot of time.  The objective for the site was to increase the # of orders taken online.

Challenges

The key challenge on the site was the user experience customer had to go through. The site had adequate content and information needed to make an online sale however it was not being provided in an optimized fashion.  Another issue was that the site did not invoke a sense of trust, and users were uncertain of the kind of company they were dealing with.  While many people came to the site and started the purchase process, few added to the cart let alone purchased.

Solution

ConversionIQ performed Late Stage Analysis in Google Analytics to see where people later in their buying process where abandoning the site.  From this, as well as User Testing, Heat Maps and other conversion rate optimization tools, our analysts made optimizations to the site that resulted in a better website user experience.  Then Trust factors were strategically place throughout website to better assure prospective customers that the company was one they could trust.

Results

Revenue per Visitor (the average value of a visitor to the website) increase by 114% after implementation of ConversionIQ recommendations, as shown below in the graph taken from the site’s analytics account.  The impact was mostly seen for Return Visitors (as expected with Late Stage Analysis recommendations), who started purchasing 310% more often.
